On Monday night Glamour honored 11 women with the title of Women of the Year.
One of our readers was lucky enough to be in the audience and sent us a couple of photos of honoree Jennifer Lopez who told the crowd, “It’s the women. Through the ups and the not so ups, that’s the one thing that got me through,” she admitted. “My grandmother, who taught me to cook and not be afraid to serve and be humble. And to go out looking nice because people like that and then they respect you.”
Jennifer Aniston was also on hand to present her friend Chelsea Handler with the honor. “I rarely comment on my personal life but I am here to tell you that I’m madly in love. And I’m madly in love with the one and only Chelsea Handler,” Aniston said. “It’s really hard not to admire a dynamic, brash and ridiculously hilarious woman who has assembled such a large and rabid fan base — and she’s drunk half the time!”
Tory Burch, Gloria Steinem, Esraa Abdel Fattah, Cindy Sherman, Lea Michele, Gabrielle Giffords, Withelma “T” Ortiz-Macey, Laura Bush, Barbara Bush, Jenna Bush Hager, and Arianna Huffington were also honored as Women Of The Year.
