Open Casting Call this weekend in New Orleans for ‘Empire State’

The movie Empire State will begin filming in New Orleans this spring and they are looking for individuals interested in appearing as extras.

Empire State, which stars Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson, follows two childhood friends whose plan to rob an armored car depository is put in jeopardy by a New York police officer.

Below are all of the details for an Open Casting Call taking place this weekend:

CASTING CALL – Saturday, May 5th, 11:00am – 3:00pm – Ramada Inn, 2713 N. Causeway Blvd, Metairie, LA 70002.

The feature film, “Empire State”, starring Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson is looking for people for SPEAKING PARTS and extras! This film, being directed by Dito Monteil (Fighting and A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints), will be shooting in the New Orleans area starting at the end of May.

The casting directors are looking for all “types” of people from 8 – 80! We are especially looking for characters, ethnicities and GREEK, ITALIAN, and MIDDLE EASTERN people. The film is set in Astoria, New York in 1982. Feel free to show up in your best late 70 ’s outfit! Please bring a NON-returnable photo!

The open call will take place Saturday, May 5 from 11 AM – 3 PM at Ramada Inn, 2713 N. Causeway Blvd, Metairie, LA 70002.
