This morning several downtown Atlanta residents and businesses received an email letting them know part of Peachtree Center Ave in Atlanta will be closed for filming of The Idiom, a.k.a. Catching Fire.
Here is a summery of the email:
[The email stated] The Idiom will be filming in Downtown Atlanta. The east curb lane of Peachtree Center Ave from John Portman Blvd to Baker St. will be closed from Wednesday, October 3rd – Wednesday, October 10th. Notice said that filming for GGX Productions feature film Idiom will occur at the Marriott Marquis on Monday, October 8th. Also, the south curb lane of Baker St. from Courtland St. to Peachtree Center Ave will be closed on Monday, October 8th from 4:00am until 10:00pm.
Today, Catching Fire is filming at a warehouse in Atlanta, near I-20 and I-75 intersection, which could be this. Later this week they are expected to move to The Goat Farm in Atlanta.

Another letter was circulated to Atlanta residents this week for additional filming taking place on Monday, 10/8, on the Nelson Street Pedestrian Bride. Check out the details below:
GGX Productions, Inc. will be filming scenes for the feature film “The Idiom” in your neighborhood. Below I have listed some key information about our shoot for you to review at your leisure:
Monday October 8, 2012 we will be filming at the Norfolk Southern Building at 99 Spring Street.
To accommodate the production, from 5AM to 10PM, the Nelson Street pedestrian bridge will be closed as well as the north sidewalk of Peters Street between Spring and Mangum Streets.
Atlanta police will be on site as a safety precaution
Residents will always have free access to their homes and businesses
