Is ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ prepping to film in Griffin, GA?

As we’ve reported, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is in pre-production in Georgia and it looks like we might have uncovered one of their first filming locations.

Late last week one of our Twitter followers, @DoubleD923, spotted yellow production signs in Griffin, GA with C4 printed on them. C4 also happens to be one of the production companies associated with the film which means the signs could be pointing to one of the movie’s future locations. But with so many movies, films, and commercials currently filming in Georgia we haven’t been able to confirm the set up in Griffin is for sure for Mockingjay.

If you have any scoop about upcoming locations for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (in the past the movies have also used GGX production signs), let us know about it via email at or share it directly with other fans in the comments below!

UPDATE: We’ve received confirmation from two sources this week that the C4 signs are for Mockingjay. Interestingly, we’ve also heard a couple of them are pointing toward one of the mills that The Walking Dead uses on occasion.

Thanks to Mike for the updates, don’t forget to let us know if you hear more too!

  1. Cant determine who is actually filming, but there has been a film crew near my work in Atlanta last Thurs, Fri and now again today (9/9/13). They are on Brady Avenue in Atlanta, 30318. Right off of Howell Mill. If anyone hears anything I’d love to know who they are. Thx! 🙂

  2. A film crew has just set up in Social Circle Georgia in a Large pasture. the Signs say “Ramsey”. Wondering what this is….looks large, and has security everywhere at both entrances??

    Thanks, Teri

  3. I just slept with Jennifer Lawrence! 😉
im just kidding but still…the point is the same…What they are doing and where they are filming is their business! not yours….America would be a much better place if everyone would mind their own business!! It is just as rude as those two 12 year olds gossiping and creating drama…if it doesn’t directly affect you why do it?

  4. When its across the street from my home, and there are 100’s of people wondering around……IT IS MY BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jack ass!!!
