Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak, starring Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Charlie Hunnam, and Jim Beaver, has been filming all week at Toronto’s Casa Loma.
The castle posted the following on its website for visitors:
There will be restricted access to some rooms due to filming at Casa Loma. These areas of the castle may be affected until April 26th.
The impacted areas are as follows:
Sir Henry’s Bedroom
Lady Mary Bedroom and sitting room
Library – Partial Closure
Stable – Carriage room closed
Crimson Peak is “the story of a young aspiring author (Wasikowska) who, in the aftermath of a family tragedy, is torn between love for her childhood friend (Hunnam) and the temptation of a mysterious outsider (Hiddleston). Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to rural England to a house that breathes, bleeds…and remembers.”
Next week the movie is expected to film scenes at Dundurn Castle in Hamilton, ON.
