It has been confirmed part of the upcoming season of Games of Thrones will be shot in southern Spain this fall and the first extras casting call has already attracted thousands of hopefuls.
Among the speculated GoT filming locations are the Moorish palace Real Alcazar in Seville and various places in the Osuna region, including the University of Osuna.

PORTIONS OF GAME OF THRONES’ NEXT SEASON
TO BE SHOT IN PROVINCE OF SEVILLA
HBO is pleased to confirm that a portion of season five of GAME OF THRONES will be shot on several natural locations in the Province of Sevilla. Specifics on the locations will be announced closer to the time of production.
This filming, set to take place later this year, is being done in full collaboration with the Andalucía Film Commission through their president, Don Carlos Rosado, the Sevilla Film Office and the mayor of Sevilla, Don Juan Ignacio Zoido, and the Osuna Film Office and the mayoress, Doña Rosario Andújar.
Providing production services in Spain is Peter Welter Soler with Fresco Film Services. CANAL+ is the broadcaster of GAME OF THRONES in Spain.

Martin, HBO’s GAME OF THRONES concluded its ten-episode fourth season in June and will begin filming its fifth season in Belfast later this month. The series, executive produced and written by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, is an epic story of treachery and nobility, set on the continent of Westeros, where summers and winters can last years.

Sevilla Film Office is a City Council’s office which is part of Sevilla External Promotion (APPES).
It operates as a One Stop Office, providing an extensive range of free services to help production companies plan and stage film shoots.
Its mission is to promote the city in order to bring and arrange film shoots to the city and promoting Sevilla as a primary film friendly destination for foreign and domestic shoots of all types.
Juan Ignacio Zoido is the mayor of the city of Sevilla. Eduardo Corcuera is the president of the Sevilla External Promotion office. Adriana Piquet is the project manager of the Sevilla Film Office.
Osuna Film Office
Osuna Film Office is an office of the City Council of Osuna.
It facilitates all necessary information regarding shooting permits, locations and infrastructure to those production companies interested in shooting in Osuna.
Rosario Andújar is the mayoress of Osuna.
Rosario Benitez is the responsible person of the Osuna Film Office and all press related issues.
