Last night the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party aired on The CW with performances from Jennifer Lopez, Tiësto, Neon Trees, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, and Lil Jon.
The concert event was filmed live over two days last month at Miami’s legendary Fontainebleau Hotel which is consistently ranked one of the best places to see celebrities and one of the best places to hang out by the pool in Miami – and the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party proved both are true!
One of my favorite performances of the show was Iggy Azalea. Every summer there is plenty of debate over which single will be the “Song of Summer” and, for me, that song is definitely Fancy. It’s catchy, it’s fun, and who hasn’t declared they were “fancy” once or twice during a night out!
I also loved seeing Nick Cannon’s set. We’re all so used to seeing Nick as the host of America’s Got Talent, it’s easy to forget he is a great performer in his own right, too.
And, who can stay seated when they hear the Neon Trees’ Everybody Talks? What a perfect song for a pool party!
I wish I could have seen Jennifer Lopez’s performance live. At 44 she is old enough to be Ariana Grande’s mother yet she looked and performed just as well (if not better) than her younger counterparts! It was also nice to see her play some older fan favorites, like Jenny From The Block. You can tell that after all these years in the spotlight, she still puts her all into every song.
The third annual iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party presented by Visit Florida was part of the hotel’s BleauLive concert series. Fontainebleau has been one of Florida’s premier entertainment destination since opening in 1954. Over the past 60 years everyone from Elvis Presley to PitBull has graced the hotel’s stages.
