‘The Originals’ is filming at “Iconic” New Orleans locations this weekend


The CW series The Originals is primarily in and around Atlanta, GA but, since the show is set in new Orleans, the production tries to spend at least a few days on location in NOLA each year.

This weekend marks The Originals first trip to Louisiana to film scenes for season two. According to a recent casting call, the show is filming in Algiers today and will film in “iconic” French Quarters locations tomorrow.

Here’s the complete casting call (be advised the positions are probably already filled):

For the TV show “The Originals” – NEW ORLEANS UNIT
-for this weekend, Sept 13th or 14th

Casting for Men and Women, ages 18 – 60, all races/ethnicities
We have scenes on Saturday that will be in the Algiers area of New Orleans, and then on Sunday in the French Quarter at a few very iconic locations within!
-We need artsy types and local types, musician looks, etc…as well as a few tourist types.

****We also need a few street artists
(the pay rate is higher for bringing art supplies and some works in progress to be working on- see below).

Filming in the daytime, on either day.
You must be available ALL day
(We will only be booking people for one day or the other, not both days)

******IMPORTANT NOTES**********************************************
– On Sat we also may need a few people with bicycles, so please list if you have one.

– FILMING in NEW ORLEANS and the pay rate is $88 with OT after 10 hrs. Bikes are a $12 add’l bump if booked with one.

  1. Got stuck in a traffic jam, hopped out and they were filming outside of Rousseau’s! The scene with Davina on the phone right outside. They shot the scene about 3/4 times. Was very cool to watch and take pics!
