Georgia Tech students are on spring break this weekend but that doesn’t mean all is quite on the Atlanta campus. According to a notice sent out last week to students and employees, “Production and camera crews will be back on campus for the filming of a Warner Bros. movie…March 16 – 20.”
The email goes to say filming will take place at the Klaus Advanced Computing Building’s Cooley Bridge, outside of the Klaus Building along Ferst Drive and Plum Street, on the outdoor stairway landing adjacent to the Student Center (west of the Campanile), in the Prosthetics Lab at 575 14th Street, in the Carbon Neutral Energy Solutions (CNES) Laboratory, and at FoodPAC.
The Warner Bros. movie in question is The Accountant, starring Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick. The film follows a brilliant accountant who moonlights as a lethal assassin. According to Variety, the project has been in limbo for years and once had Will Smith attached to star. Affleck was drawn to the project, in part, because it fills a hole left in his schedule until his next directorial project, Live By Night, begins in July.
