Where is the firehouse from ‘Chicago Fire’?

One of the most frequent questions we receive from TV fans visiting Chicago is “where is the firehouse from Chicago Fire, and can we visit it?”

Located at 1360 S. Blue Island Avenue in Chicago, the firehouse seen on the show is still a frequent filming location for the series.

Though there is no way to tour any of Chicago Fire’s sets while the show is filming, fans are allowed to watch from afar and may even be able to meet some of the show’s stars between takes.

Many fans have visited the firehouse even when the show isn’t filming and have been able to take photos of the building and meet a few of the real firefighters who work there when it isn’t being used as a TV set.

  1. I visited the fire house! Took some great pictures in front of it and the trucks. The police station from Chicago PD is very close by! I also visited the filming location for Chicago Fire that day, but was unable to get close enough to really see any actors. It was still a very exciting day! Oh, and it was snowing like crazy!

  2. Engine 18 is the active Chicago Firehouse used in filming. Even when Chicago Fire is filming our house remains an active Firehouse. If you have any questions or just want some behind the scene pictures just follow us on Facebook /Engine18ChicagoFire
