If you’re planning a summer vacation and want to go somewhere warm, sunny, and star-studded, start checking flights to Hawaii.
According to a recent casting call, three high profile movies – Jurassic World 2, Aquaman, and Triple Frontier – will all be filming in Hawaii this summer.
Jurassic World 2 is already filming in the UK but, like all of the other films in the Jurassic franchise, production is set to move to Oahu this summer. Stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return for the sequel, along with Jurassic Park star Jeff Goldblum.
Aquaman, which has just started filming Australia, will also be filming in Hawaii for some time this summer. Star Jason Momoa has said Aquaman “doesn’t know how to handle his powers” yet in the solo movie, set to hit theaters on December 21, 2018.
Finally, Triple Frontier, which saw Paramount and it’s stars drop out recently, might get a second chance thanks to Netflix, Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck, and Mahershala Ali, who are all circling the project, which means another chance to begin filming in Hawaii this summer. The film – set in the border zone between Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil where the Iguazu and Parana rivers converge and becomes a haven for organized crime.
