Earlier this week the cast of One Tree Hill began sharing what were believed to be reunion photos and fans, rightfully, began to lose their minds! Alas, it was proven the show’s stars weren’t together to film more episodes of OTH but, they were working on a new project that will air Lifetime later this year.
According to EW, the actors have come together to film The Christmas Contract. The movie, written by Cassie Doyle and directed by Monika Mitchell, “follows Jolie (Hilarie Burton) as she returns home to Louisiana for the first time since a devastating break up with Foster. But when Jolie finds out that her ex is bringing home a new girlfriend, her best friend Naomi (Danneel Ackles) suggests that Jolie bring home Jack (Robert Buckley), Naomi’s brother. Jolie, a professional web designer, isn’t sure about the plan, so Naomi, a lawyer, creates a Christmas contract so that they both get something out of the deal: Jack agrees to be a buffer for Jolie and her ex if Jolie helps design him a website to sell his upcoming novel. And, as Lifetime puts it, ‘Unbeknownst to them, the Christmas contract proves to be so much more than what they signed up for.'”
Along with Burton, Ackles, and Buckley, OTH stars Antwon Tanner and Tyler Hilton will also appear.
Fans who want to catch the cast filming, or even be a part of the movie, should head to Lafayette, Louisiana ASAP. According to local reports, filming will take place at Acadian Village on June 14, 18, 19, and 20 and they are looking for volunteer extras to take part in the shoot.
The scenes will take place during a Christmas Festival with holiday booths, live Cajun music, and a gumbo cook-off, so extras of ages are welcome. If you’re interested in being an extra, fill out this form.
